Employee ownership explained simply

Employee ownership supports long-term stability, shared success and responsible decision-making.

Sonic Alarm Systems is now owned through an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). This means that 80 per cent of the business is held in trust on behalf of its employees.

The trust exists to benefit the people who work at Sonic collectively. It encourages long-term thinking, reinvestment in the business and decisions that support quality and sustainability rather than short-term gain.

Day-to-day management of Sonic has not changed. The existing leadership team continues to run the business, supported by clear governance arrangements that protect the company’s values and independence.
